Cyle is a menstrual journal for iPhone. Period, symptom, mood, and note data stays on that iPhone. There is no account.
What we do not do
- No account, login, or profile on a server
- No cloud sync and no iCloud for cycle logs
- No advertising
- No analytics and no crash-reporting SDK
- No tracking and no advertising identifier
- No sale of personal data
- No social features
What stays on your iPhone
Dates and flow, optional symptoms, mood, and notes, the preferences you set, and an optional PIN hashed in the Keychain. iOS encrypts the store when the phone is locked.
Widgets
If you add a widget, the app writes a small snapshot for that widget only: cycle day, phase, and estimate text. The snapshot does not include notes, symptoms, mood, or the daily log. Erase in Settings clears it.
Notifications
Reminders are optional and local. The lock screen says only “You have a Cycle reminder.”
Health
This version does not use Apple Health.
Estimates
Next-period and fertile-window dates are estimates from the cycles you log. They are not medical advice, not contraception, and not a diagnosis.
Export and deletion
Settings can make a CSV, JSON, or PDF and open the iPhone share sheet. Cyle does not upload that file. Settings can erase logs, preferences, the PIN, reminders, and the widget snapshot. Deleting the app removes what remains.
Children
Cyle is not for children under 13. The App Store rating is 16+.
